The SumGood Art Auction 2025

SumGood will be back in The Copperhouse Gallery in Dublin in April 2025 to bring you the next installment of our annual art auction, this time going bigger and better than ever…

With the cost of living in Dublin / Ireland getting out of control we will be running an online, live, interactive art auction featuring over 150 of Ireland’s top artists, with up to 50% going back towards the artists. Watch this space or keep an eye on our Instagram page for updates. Alternatively join our mailing list at the bottom of this page.

The 50% from each art sale coming to SumGood from this auction will help us run the organisation and grow, as well as developing our KickStart Kitchen Training chef training programme, which aims to bridge the gap between those facing a barrier to employment with a Hospitality sector currently on its knees. We wish to help those in direct provision, early school leavers, young offenders, those who have experience immigration, or anyone with a desire to get working in some of Dublin’s top restaurants.

Introducing The KickStart Kitchen

The KickStart Kitchen is a new free sous chef training programme open to anyone and everyone who may feel they are currently experiencing a barrier to employment. The programme also aims to alleviate the recruitment struggles currently facing restaurants and hotel kitchen, which has led to many closures in recent months.

The course consists of 12 classes over 6 weeks followed by a work placement in a top Dublin restaurant / hotel. The course itself is created by the head chefs in these restaurants with the aim of creating sous chefs in the making, teaching novices the very basics they need to start a work placement, and then to start employment.

Trainees will come from all walks of life and SumGood will collaborate with groups working in Direct Provision, homelessness charities, inner city groups, early school leavers, immigrants etc and will aim to offer the same opportunities to local and migrant communities alike.
